Gardenias, peonies, irises, tulips, sweet peas has relatively short vase life- if you wish to have the above flowers, please contact us for bespoke arrangements.
3. How do I make my flowers last longer?
There are a few thing you can do to help extend vase life.
a) Apply flower food- every arrangement comes with a pack of flower food. Change water after 3-4 days. Add a bit of sugar and a bit of vinegar mixture afterwards; sugar feeds nutrient and vinegar inhibits bacterial growth.
b) Trim the stems 1-2cm at an angle (ideally 45°) everyday. This increases the cut surface for absorbing water.
*not applicable bulbous plant, for example: ranunculus, tulips, gerberas.
c) Change water and clean vase- make sure the water quality is clear. Give the stems and the vase a good wash every time when you change water.
d) Avoid sunlight and keep at cool place.- cut flowers don;t need sunlight and much prefer to stay in cool places.
